Staff Highlight – Senior Staff Attorney, Robert Jack
Legal Services congratulates Robert Jack, who was recently promoted to Senior Staff Attorney of the Tenants’ Rights Unit. A graduate of Northeastern University School of Law, Robert has more than ten years’ experience practicing public interest law. During his tenure with Legal Services, Robert has excelled both as an attorney and as a leader in the unit. As Senior Staff Attorney, he now provides supervision to attorneys in the Unit and is working to develop the program’s capacity to serve more clients.
Robert is also responsible for overseeing the Legal Services Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) project, which serves low-income veterans facing eviction. Robert has worked hard to expand this project by doing more outreach and getting
more clients for the SSVF program.
As a member of the Tenants’ Rights Unit, Robert provides direct representation to tenants facing eviction and termination of their housing subsidy. An aggressive advocate for his clients, Robert has won some major victories. Robert was recently successful in preventing the eviction of a tenant whose landlord tried to force him out even though the landlord was receiving rental payments from the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). This is just one example of the many cases that Robert has worked on at Legal Services.
