Racial Justice

  • Legal Services acknowledges the racial and social injustices that exist within our nation and is committed to supporting equity, racial justice, and anti-racism. Legal Services supports these principles within our organization and in our advocacy for the communities we serve.

  • The Equity Advocacy Project aims to address racial and social justice inequities experienced by our client communities. The project engages the local community to develop, coordinate, and execute systemic legal strategies that aggressively address and resolve systemic inequities and uphold laws and policies to support racial justice.

  • Legal Services’ Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is comprised of staff, attorneys, and management who help the organization embrace the rich perspectives and experiences that arise from a diverse workforce. Racial, ethnic, religious, sexual orientation, gender expression, gender identity, socio-economic, language, and ability diversity are essential to the strength of the program and help foster an inclusive workplace. The DEI Committee recommends policies and programming to promote diversity and inclusion and promote equity in hiring, professional development, and advancement opportunities.
