  • Legal Services acknowledges the racial and social injustices that exist within our nation and is committed to supporting equity, racial justice, and anti-racism. Legal Services supports these principles within our organization and in our advocacy for the communities we serve.

  • Legal Services believes that diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are core elements to developing a framework for a more just community. Legal Services has adopted several initiatives intended to bring equity as an essential value to be incorporated into all parts of the organization. As an example, Legal Services established a DEI Committee that promotes inclusion, anti-bias education, equity in hiring, and equitable access to advancement opportunities for all staff.

    Legal Services also recognizes the importance of fostering inclusive environments where all employees feel valued and included. For instance, Legal Services is promoting a series of trainings for its staff, managers and board members, to increase awareness and drive change towards greater health equity. This training program will contribute to a significant improvement in the quality and reach of the legal services provided, resulting in a meaningful impact on the lives of clients and the community.
